OT Comp - Off Trail Competition! When you run, and swim, in extreme conditions, it is important to feel safe and know that your equipment withstands the pressure. This was the starting point when we started the work of developing a perfect off-trail shoe, so we teamed up with Michelin Technical Outsoles to create a flexible lightweight outsole that had a grip that satisfied both orientation, OCR and Swimrun practitioners - ie a awesome grip and adaptability to a variety of surfaces. The studs' design is inspired by Michelin's popular and rewritten mountain bike and motorcycle tires - Wild Mud and Starcross 5. The studs are designed for maximum penetration of clay in the hunt for solid ground and grip. The small difference in height, which is built into the stud itself, makes this possible. At the height of the arch, the appearance of the studs is a little different to provide stability, control and grip on the obstacles such as roots, branches and stones to be forced. The base of the outsole, the part of the outsole that is attached to the midsole, is made with Michelin's Fiber Lite Technology, a construction that enables extremely light weight through a very durable and durable textile layer. Michelin's Fiber Lite Technology comes from Michelin's long experience in tire manufacturing, where part of the tire design is made of textile fibers. These surfaces are easily recognizable on the outsole where the fabric is visible in the submerged surfaces. The rubber used in the Salming OT Comp outsole is Michelin's OCX - Extreme Outdoor Compound - which gives an extremely good grip on slippery cliffs thanks to its sticky rubber compound. The upper of the shoe has a flexible lightweight construction where the mesh provides both good ventilation while having an excellent drainage ability for Swimrun. The side surfaces that are exposed to the rough treatment of the terrain have a RocShield surface as reinforcement. The midsole has Salming's DNA integrated in the form of the Torsion Guidance System 62/75 ° (TGS62 / 75 °), which in short aims to add stability to the back parts of the foot and flexibility in the forefoot by following the foot's movement pattern.
