On the ground, a Vibram® XS Trek outsole gives confident grip on wet and dry surfaces. The lug pattern is designed for mixed terrain, so the shoe feels just as at home on forest paths and gravel as it does on the road sections in between – perfect for runs that start from your front door.
Despite the generous cushioning, the women's Ultraventure 5 weighs around 247 g in a US 7 (EU 38). The new tightly woven mesh upper is hard-wearing and breathable, with added padding around the heel and tongue for a softer, more comfortable hold. A universal gaiter attachment at the heel keeps grit, sand and snow out when you add a pair of Topo gaiters.
